Australia is a very large agricultural producer and exporter and an excellent place to have an Agriculture Internship. Farmers in Australia own farms that cover 60% of Australia’s land mass. The mixture of dryland and irrigation farming makes this possible. Agricultural practices in Australia are: beef, sheep, dairy production, wheat, canola, oats, barley, and legumes production. Because Australia has very large deserts and irregular rainfall, irrigation is crucial for agriculture in some parts of the country.
